Modern Comfort

Berroco Modern Comfort is a worsted weight blend of 50% acrylic and 50% polyamide, 208 yards (190 m) per 100 g ball. Knit it on US 7 to 8 needles (4.5 to 5 mm) at 17 to 20 stitches and 25 to 27 rows over 4 inches. The nylon in the blend gives it a smoother, softer hand than a straight acrylic, and the whole thing goes in the machine: wash cold on the delicate cycle and tumble dry low. That makes it a sensible pick for baby blankets, kids' sweaters, charity knitting and anything else headed for a washer that nobody is going to be careful with. Made in Peru.
